The BIT Institute headed by Professor Dr. Franz Steffens addresses standard business application software. It's  located on the 4th floor of the 'Haus Oberrhein' directly by Mannheims river bank. The Institute acts as a mediator between science and practice.

For Students of the University, BIT enables the possibility to adduce  their programme achievements in collaboration with our cooporation partners. For companies the Institute mediates the contact to students of the University of Mannheim. As a congress pool for consumers and vendors, the independant BIT Instute offers a platform for system tests, workshops and training.
